Creating a PivotChart Report

When you create a PivotChart report, Excel creates the PivotTable report as well. The PivotChart report presents the data graphically, and you can swap rows and columns in either the table or the chart.

To create a PivotChart report:

1.
Click in the selected data area.

2.
Choose PivotTable and PivotChart Report from the Data menu to start the PivotTable and PivotChart Wizard.

3.
Select the PivotChart report, specify the data source, and indicate whether you want the report to be placed on a new worksheet or an existing one (Figure 14.38).

4.
Position the chart items to create the view you want (Figure 14.39).
