Saving and Sending the Message

When you send a message, the message is automatically placed in your Outbox. If Outlook is not set to send messages immediately, the message is not actually sent until you choose Send/Receive or until Outlook next checks for new mail according to its schedule. You can also save a message for further editing later.

To save a message to complete later:

1.
Click Save on the Standard toolbar (Figure 39.38).

From the File menu, choose Save.

Close the window.

Outlook places the message in the Drafts folder. You can open it there to continue working on it.
