Changing the Status of a Task

All tasks begin with the status Not Started. As you progress with a task, you can update the status for the task until you reach Completed.

To change the status of a task:

1.
Double-click the task to view the task details.

In the Task dialog box, use the pull-down list to change the status (Figure 42.14).

Select a % Complete setting if you want (Figure 42.15).

Click the Send Status Report button if you want to send an e-mail message with information about your progress on the task (Figure 42.16).

Outlook displays a message containing details about the task.

5.
Add an address and comments and send the message.

6.
When you have finished, click the Save and Close button.
