Inviting Attendees to a Meeting

You can also create a meeting to which other attendees are invited.

To invite attendees:

1.
If the appointment is not already open, double-click it in the calendar.

2.
On the Appointment tab of the Appointment dialog box, fill in the meeting particulars, typing a location or selecting from the pull-down list.

Click the Invite Attendees button on the Standard toolbar.

4.
In the To text box, type e-mail addresses for invitees (Figure 42.31).

Click the To button to select from the Address Book, and click OK when you have finished adding names.

5.
To check on attendee availability, click the Attendee Availability tab.

6.
On the Attendee Availability tab, if your group is set up to share free/busy information, Outlook colects and displays calendar information. Find a suitable meeting time by dragging the meeting block in the calendar (Figure 42.32).

7.
Click Send. Outlook sends invitations to the people you specified.
