Chapter 28. PowerPoint and the Web > Opening a Presentation on the Web

Opening a Presentation on the Web

You can open a presentation on the Web so that you can edit it in PowerPoint. If you select a Web page that is not a presentation, PowerPoint displays it as a single slide. If the file you open was published from another Microsoft Office application, that application will start, and you can copy or drag information from one application to another.

To open a Web page as a PowerPoint presentation:

1.
From the File menu, choose Open.

2.
Choose Web Folders from the Places bar and Web pages as the type of file.

3.
Open a Web Folder or enter the URL in the File Name text box (Figure 28.7).

Figure 28.7. Type a URL in the File Name box or browse for the file.

4.
Click Open.

Your computer logs onto the Web server and displays the file in PowerPoint (Figure 28.8).
