Chapter 6. Formatting Pages

Page formatting can be the first step in creating a new document or the last. Page formatting involves setting the size and shape of the page and the width of the margins. Word will adjust the text on the page to fit the new page size and margins.

If you always print portrait-orientation, 8½ x 11 pages with standard margins, you won’t need to worry about page formatting. But if you want your pages to look a bit more unusual, try adjusting the page formatting.
