Creating a Message Rule

Rules can determine what happens to incoming and outgoing messages.

To create the conditions for a rule:

1.
In the Outlook Today window or any mailbox window, click the Rules Wizard button on the Advanced toolbar (Figure 40.14).

From the Tools menu, choose Rules Wizard.

or

Click Rules Wizard on the Organize page.

Click the New button on the first page of the Rules Wizard.

Select the type of rule you want to apply and click Next (Figure 40.15).

Select the conditions you want to apply and, in the description in the Rule Description area, click People or Distribution List (Figure 40.16).

5.
In the Rule Address dialog box, select from the contacts list and click OK (Figure 40.17).
