The Steps to Creating an Access Database

Starting a new database

You can begin with a blank database, or you can also use a database wizard to begin building your database with commonly used database elements corresponding to a variety of business activities.

Setting up a table

All the data in a database is stored in tables, so you need to design the tables first. Access helps you create tables using the Table Wizard, which offers you dozens of common fields for storing the individual bits of information in each record. Mix and match the fields to create the table.
