Creating and Selecting a Style

A style is a preset combination of formatting. When none of the existing styles has the formatting you want, you can create your own style and then apply it.

To create a style:

1.
Format a cell with whatever formatting you want (Figure 13.28).

From the Format menu, choose Style.

3.
Type a new style name in the Style Name text box (Figure 13.29).

4.
Make sure the check boxes for the formatting options you want to apply are checked in the Style dialog box.

5.
Click OK.
