Creating High-Low-Close Charts

High-low-close charts that display the high, low, and closing prices of stocks are called stock charts in PowerPoint.

To create a high-low-close chart:

1.
On the datasheet, make sure the columns are ordered high-low-close (Figure 23.7).

2.
From the Data menu, choose Series in Columns.

3.
From the Chart menu, choose Chart Type.

4.
On the left on the Standard Types tab of the Chart Type dialog box, choose Stock.

5.
On the right, choose the type of stock chart you want (Figure 23.8).

6.
Click OK.

The stock chart appears (Figure 23.9).
