Filling an Entry Range

To quickly enter data in a rectangular range of cells, create an entry range.

To create and fill an entry range:

1.
Position the mouse pointer in the upper left corner cell of the range.

2.
Click and drag to the lower right corner cell of the range (Figure 11.14).

The active cell is the cell at the upper left corner of the entry range.

3.
Type data into each cell and then pres Enter.

The cell pointer moves down each column from cell to cell automatically. When it reaches the bottom of a column, it jumps to the top of the next column within the entry range (Figure 11.15).
