Adding a Hyperlink

A hyperlink is specially marked text or a graphic that you click to go to your e-mail program, a file, or an HTML page on the Web or on an intranet.

To add a hyperlink:

1.
Select text in a cell to hyperlink or select an empty cell.

From the Insert menu, choose Hyperlink.

or

Press Ctrl+K.

3.
In the Insert Hyperlink dialog box, type the destination link or browse for the file (Figure 11.10).

4.
Add the text to display as a hyperlink if you picked an empty cell. The default is the filename or URL (Uniform Resource Locator).

5.
Click OK. The text is now colored and underlined (Figure 11.11).
