Summing Columns and Rows

Excel includes special help for quickly summing a column or row.

To sum a column or row:

1.
Click in the empty cell below the last entry in the column or to the right of the last entry in the row (Figure 11.24).

2.
Click the AutoSum button on the Standard toolbar (Figure 11.25).

Press Enter to enter the formula that has automatically appeared in the cel (Figure 11.26).
