Grouping and Ungrouping Shapes

By grouping several objects, you can treat them as a single object. Simply select and then move, copy, or format the group.

To group several objects:

1.
Hold down the Shift key as you click each object for the group.

or

Using the Selection tool on the Drawing toolbar, draw a selection box that entirely encloses just the objects you want to group (Figure 26.24).

From the Drawing toolbar, choose Group.

A single set of handles now surrounds the objects in the group (Figure 26.25).
