Chapter 26. Drawing on Slides > Adding Predefined Shapes and Text Boxes

Adding Predefined Shapes and Text Boxes

You can use AutoShapes to quickly add graphic objects to your worksheet, and you can create text as a graphic object and then edit the size, shape, color, and other aspects of the text box, just as you can edit other kinds of graphics.

To draw a predefined shape:

1.
Click and hold down the mouse button on the AutoShapes but on on the Drawing toolbar and select an item on the list.

2.
Choose one of the shapes in the pop-out palette that appears (Figure 26.7).

Figure 26.7. Choose an AutoShape from a pop-out palette.

3.
Position the mouse pointer at one corner of an imaginary rectangle that would contain the shape, hold down the mouse button, drag to the opposite corner of the rectangle, and release the mouse but on (Figure 26.8).

Figure 26.8. Click and drag to place the Autoshape on your slide.
