Chapter 27. Creating Slide Shows > Adding Audio and Video

Adding Audio and Video

You can add sounds to the transition effects and to the preset animation. You can also add audio and video to your presentation by inserting files from the Clip Gallery or from other folders available to you.

To add an audio file:

1.
In Normal view, display the slide to which you want to add the audio file.

2.
From the Insert menu, choose Movies and Sounds, and then choose Sound from File.

3.
In the Insert Sound dialog box, type in a filename or browse through your folders to find the sound file you want (Figure 27.10).

Figure 27.10. Find the sound file and click OK.

4.
Click OK.

5.
When PowerPoint asks whether you want your sound to play automatically in the slide show, click Yes, or click No to have it play only when you click it.

The sound icon appears in the middle of the slide. You can move it as you would any object (Figure 27.11).
