Revising a Report in Design View

In Design view, you can view the contents of each section of a report. The Report Header and Footer sections appear at the beginning and end of the report. The Page Header and Footer sections appear on each page. Other sections repeat as necessary during the report. Each section contains controls that act just like the controls you use when designing a form.

To revise a report in Design view:

1.
On the Reports tab of the Database window, select a report and click Design (Figure 35.19).

If the report is already open in Print Preview, click the Design button on the access toolbar (Figure 35.20).

In Design view, move or resize the controls as needed (Figure 35.21).

Double-click any section heading or control to change its properties.

4.
To add a field to the report, drag the field from the field list to a report section.

5.
Use the tools in the toolbox to add or modify controls, just as you do when designing a form.
