Starting a Report Using the Report Wizard

Although you can start a new report in Design view, it is easier to begin the report using the Report Wizard and then revise it in Design view.

To start a new report using the Report Wizard:

1.
On the Reports tab of the Database window, click the New button.

In the New Report dialog box, select Report Wizard (Figure 35.12).

Click OK.

On the first page of the Report Wizard, select the table or query on which the report will be based, select the fields to display, and click Next (Figure 35.13).

Select how you want to view your data and click Next.

Select grouping options, and click Next (Figure 35.14).

Select sort orders, if required, and click Next (Figure 35.15).

Select a layout, and click Next (Figure 35.16).

Select a style, and click Next (Figure 35.17).

10.
On the last page of the Report Wizard, type a name for this report or accept the default, choose whether you want to view the report or modify the design, and click Finish.

The finished report appears in Print Preview (Figure 35.18).
