Adding Labels

Each field on a new form has a label, but you can add labels to the form to provide special instructions to the person using the form. For example, you can enter a label for a group of fields that reads “Complete only if you are a nonresident.”

To add a label:

1.
With the form open in Design view, make sure the toolbox is visible. If it’s not visible, click the Toolbox button on the Access toolbar.

2.
Click the Label button on the toolbox (Figure 32.28).

3.
Click the form at the location for the new label (Figure 32.29).

4.
Type the label text.

5.
Use the move and size handles to position the label (Figure 32.30).

6.
Save the changes to the form design.
