Creating a New Database

When you start a new database, Access closes any other open databases.

To start a new database:

1.
On the Database toolbar, click the New button (Figure 30.3).

or

Press Ctrl+N.

or

From the File menu, choose New.

In the New File task pane, click Blank Database (Figure 30.4).

Click General Templates to select a wizard on the Databases tab of the Templates dialog box (Figure 30.5).

3.
Click OK.
