Changing Views

Each new presentation opens in Normal view, which combines the outline or slide icons of the presentation with a view of the current slide, as well as quick access to notes.

To change to another view:

  • Click the appropriate button at the lower left corner of the presentation window (Figure 19.14).

    Normal view displays three panes that show the slide, an area into which you can enter speaker’s notes, and either the slide icons (Figure 19.15) or the outline (Figure 19.16).

    Slide Sorter view displays thumbnail views of your slides so that you can reorganize the slides and change the overall look of the presentation. In this view, you can also add and edit the transition effects for the slide show (Figure 19.17).

    Slide Show view displays the presentation one slide at a time in sequence as an automatic slide show (electronic presentation) (Figure 19.18).

    Notes Page view , which is available only from the View menu, lets you enter and edit speaker’s notes for the presenter.
