Using a Design Template

Templates can provide the graphic design and color scheme of a presentation (design template) or suggest content and structure, using a set of slides whose text you edit (sample presentation).

To start with a design template:

1.
From the File menu, choose New.

or

Press Ctrl+N.

2.
Click From Design Template in the New Presentation task pane to choose from the Slide Design task pane (Figure 19.8).

3.
Select a template and choose an option from the design template drop-down list (Figure 19.9).

A new presentation opens in Normal view in the selected design; it contains one slide (Figure 19.10). Choose a layout from the Slide Layout task pane.
