Chapter 36. Access and the Web > Adding a Hyperlink Field

Adding a Hyperlink Field

A hyperlink is specially marked text or a graphic that you click to go to a file or an HTML page on the Web or on an intranet, or to send an e-mail message. You can specify a hyperlink data type field in a table so that whatever is entered in that field becomes a hyperlink. You can then make that field available on a form.

To add a hyperlink field to a table:

1.
With the table open in Design view, add a new row, with a hyperlink data type (Figure 36.31).

Figure 36.31. Add a hyperlink field to the table.

2.
Save the change to the design.
