RAM

RAM (random access memory) is your computer's working memory. All the applications and documents you open are loaded into RAM so your computer'sCPU (central processing unit) can access them quickly.

The amount of RAM an application needs to run is called its RAM allocation, or application heap. Although every application's RAM allocation is preset by the programmer, you can raise it to make the application run more smoothly or lower it so the application requires less RAM to run.
