Scrapbook

The Scrapbook offers an unlimited number of entries for storing formatted text, sounds, graphics, and movies. The Scrapbook is best used to store things that you use over and over in documents, such as a company logo, formatted text, or your signature.

To use the Scrapbook

Choose Apple menu > Scrapbook (Figure 1). The Scrapbook window appears (Figure 12).

Click the scroll bar arrows to view the entries in the Scrapbook file.

Use Edit menu commands (Figure 13) to work with Scrapbook items:

  • To add an item to the Scrapbook, open and select it in the application in which it was created, choose Edit > Copy to copy it to the Clipboard, switch to the Scrapbook, and choose Edit > Paste (Figure 13) to paste it into the Scrapbook (Figure 14).

  • To use a Scrapbook item in another document, display the item you want to use, choose Edit > Copy (Figure 13) to copy it to the Clipboard, switch to the document in which you want to paste the item, and choose Edit > Paste to paste it into the document.

  • To remove an item from the Scrapbook, display the item you want to remove and choose Edit > Cut (Figure 13).
