Installing Mac OS X Server

When you start up from the Mac OS X Server Install DVD, you can open Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Using this utility, you can divide the hard disk into one or more partitions and install Mac OS 9 drivers (although you should not run Classic on Mac OS X Server). You are given the following format options for your partitions:

  • Mac OS X Extended (Journaled)

  • Mac OS X Extended

  • Mac OS X Extended (Case-sensitive/Journaled)

  • Mac OS X Extended (Case-sensitive)

  • UNIX File System (Not bootable)

  • MS-DOS File System (Not bootable)
