Part III: Function Reference > Date and Time Functions

Chapter 13. Date and Time Functions

Virtually every worksheet you create uses at least one value relating to a specific time frame. Typically worksheets are used to display information such as the number of sales for the last year or monthly expenses. The time and date functions covered in this chapter allow you to work with these values more effectively. These functions, for instance, let you perform calculations that determine the number of days between payments, or show how many days are between one payday and the next. Since Excel obtains the date and time information from your system, make sure the date and time on your PC are accurate. The following functions are covered in detail later in this chapter. The "AT" represents those functions that exist only by loading the Analysis Toolpak. See Chapter 11 for details.
