Tools Customize Commands settings, custom toolbars, and custom key combinations are saved in a template or document. Tools Options and Tools Customize Options Settings In Word 2000, all user options are stored in the Windows Registry in the registry subkey HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Word\.
