The Checkbook Register Application

However you decide to arrange and manage your checking account, there’s one thing you’ll need to do and that’s to keep track of your balance. The most important reason to do this, of course, is to avoid bouncing checks and the attendant fees. It’s also useful if you are in the pleasant situation of building up a large balance. If you know you have excess money in your checking account, you can transfer it to another account that pays more interest.

It’s perfectly possible to keep track of your checking balance using the paper register that comes with your checkbook. But let’s face it, this is not much fun and it’s easy to make mistakes. Why not use the power of Excel?
