Creating a Closing Date Exception Report

If you use the closing date feature in QuickBooks, you'll want to take advantage of the opportunity to produce a report that shows changes to the closed accounts. This report displays all transactions that are posted to the closed time period after the closing date has passed.

Create a Closing Date Exception Report

Select Report Navigator from the Reports menu.

Click the Accountant & Taxes option.

Click Closing Date Exceptions by Account.

Scroll through the report to see all the transactions.

Double-click any amount to see the actual transaction.
