Project

Contact information is so important. It doesn't matter if you are a high-powered executive, a freelance reporter, a full-time student, or a stay-at-home mom, everyone has to figure out how to keep track of names, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses. I made the jump from pencil and paper when I got too busy to hand address my holiday cards. I distinctly remember spending a few days trying to decide the best place to store the information. I settled on creating address books in WordPerfect. Because I can export them to other formats, I could use the information in other applications. Add that to the fact that I could create my mailing labels and personalize the holiday letters in one step.

If you've already spent time putting your contact information into WordPerfect address books, you'll want to bring that information into WordPerfect 11 (or 12) when you upgrade. It's simple—you export the address books in the previous version, and then import them into the new version.
