Chapter 14. Adding Drawings and TextArt > Adding Drawings by Using Presentation...

Adding Drawings by Using Presentations

WordPerfect's Draw feature, a light version of Corel Presentations, is so powerful that it deserves special attention. Adding someone else's graphics and drawing cool shapes are fun and useful, but with the Draw program you can add your own custom graphics and even modify graphics from other sources. No longer must you limit yourself to someone else's artwork. For example, you can create a custom company logo, a graph using graphic images, or a simple clip art image extracted from a more complex image.

When you choose Insert, Graphics, Draw Picture, or click the Draw Picture button on the toolbar, WordPerfect opens an editing window in which you can create and edit graphics using the tools found in the Corel Presentations drawing program (see Figure 14.1). In addition to the window, you also see somewhat different toolbars, and at the left side of the screen is a tool palette that looks a lot like some of the tools you use when working with graphic shapes and boxes. Further, if you click some of the menu items, you'll note that certain features you're used to seeing are gone, replaced by other features you've never heard of before.
