Creating Macros

When you create your first macro, try to remember that you don't have to do it perfectly the first time. You can keep recording the macro over and over until you get it right. You can also edit a macro and make some adjustments to it rather than re-recording.

Before you get started, grab a pen and jot down a rough sequence of events you need to go through so that you don't forget anything. For example, if you want to create a macro to insert a signature block, write down the closing that you prefer, make a note about the number of blank lines you want to allow room for a signature, and then jot down all the elements you want to include beneath the written signature.
