Chapter 21. Organizing Notes with OneNote > Expanding Your Notebook

Expanding Your Notebook

OneNote is very flexible in allowing you to capture and organize your notes any way you prefer. You take notes in the pages in each section of your OneNote notebook. Each page is made up of a page header and the main note-taking area of the page. Pages can contain subpages, which are additional pages with smaller tabs than the primary pages. By adding several subpages to a page, you can create groups of pages, enabling you to further organize your notes.

Add a Page of Notes

Click the Insert menu.

Click New Page.

A new page is inserted at the end of the current section.

Click the page title area and type a title for your page.

Notice the automatic date and time stamp, and click it to change it if needed.

Click anywhere on the page and start typing (or handwriting) notes.

Click on another area of the page to enter another note. You can use formatting as well.
