Chapter 21. Organizing Notes with OneNote > Integrating with Outlook

Integrating with Outlook

OneNote is integrated with Outlook in two ways. First, you can import information from your Outlook calendar into your notes. If you are preparing to take notes in a meeting that was set up using Outlook 2003, you can insert the details of the meeting from your Outlook calendar into OneNote. Second, you can create Outlook items, such as contacts, appointments, and tasks, from OneNote directly. For example, if you are taking notes about a patient and need to create an Outlook appointment to review the patient progress, you can do so without leaving OneNote.

Insert Outlook Meeting Details into OneNote

Click where you want to insert the Outlook meeting details.

Click the Insert menu.

Click Outlook Meeting Details.

OneNote displays a window with meeting information coming from Outlook.

If needed, click the calendar or the date buttons to change the date.

Click the meeting you want to use.

Click Insert Details.
