Using Digital Ink

Digital ink is a powerful communication tool that allows you to write, draw, or annotate just like you do using regular pen and paper, except that with digital ink, you can save your notes on your Tablet PC, search through them, e-mail them, and publish them on a Web site. A clinician viewing X-ray images on a Tablet PC could annotate the image and send it to a colleague for review, for example.

Almost every member of the Office 2003 suite has the capability to add ink. And where you can add ink, you can erase it. In general, you can add ink to any part of a document, and in Word you can even add ink comments. The following are the main differences between the different inking styles:
