Creating a Consistent Look

When you create a collection of related publications, such as those for a specific event or organization, make sure that all the publications look similar. By using consistent choices of colors, design elements, and text formatting, your readers will instantly recognize that all your publications are related to the same effort or organization. Publisher's Catalog and color schemes can help you achieve consistent designs and colors. Use text styles, which store text formatting settings, to ensure your text formatting is consistent in all your publications. After creating a text style in a publication, you can import the style to other publications.

Create a New Style by Example

Select the text with the style you want.

Click the Format menu, and then click Styles And Formatting.

Click Create New Style.

Enter a name for the new style.

Click each of the formatting options, and then change the formatting settings for the new style.

Click OK.
