Adding a Hot Spot Hyperlink

You can use text and objects in your Web site to create hyperlinks to other Web pages. You can specify a specific part of a publication or an object to be a hyperlink. This type of hyperlink is called a hot spot. An entire object can be a single hot spot or an object can contain multiple hot spots. Some objects, such as navigation buttons, contain a single hot spot that jumps you to a specific address. For other objects, such as a photo of a large multi-building medical center, you can have several hot spots that link each hospital building in the photo to a page that provides information about that particular hospital.

Create a Hyperlink on a Hot Spot

Open the Web page in which you want to add a hyperlink on a hot spot.

Click the Hot Spot Tool button on the Web Tools toolbar.

Drag to create a rectangle around the area you want a hot spot.

Enter the Internet address.

Click OK.
