Chapter 26. Enterprise Project Managemen... > Opening and Using Multiple Enterpris...

Opening and Using Multiple Enterprise Projects

The Project Center now allows you to open and manipulate multiple projects within a single Microsoft Project 2003 Professional window. When you open multiple projects in this way, Microsoft Project creates a temporary composite project with all selected projects opened within the same window. This provides you several advantages for managing a group of projects:

  • You can expand or contract the view of each open project, allowing you to inspect the details as needed.

  • Tasks can be easily linked from one project to another, providing a logical association among project task activities.

  • You can analyze the effects of changes across a group of projects to determine optimum scheduling conditions.
