Copying Data from Excel

If you want to copy small sections of data from an Excel document, you can use the Cut and Paste or Copy and Paste routines that you have learned previously. If you want to import an entire Excel chart, the process is a little more involved.

Copy Data from Excel

Open both the Word document and the Excel worksheet that contain the data you want to create a linked object or embedded object from.

Switch to Excel, and then click and drag to select the entire work-sheet, a range of cells, or the chart you want.

Click the Edit menu‚ and then click Copy.

Switch to the Word document, and then click where you want the information to appear.

Click the Edit menu‚ and then click Paste Special.

Click Microsoft Office Excel Worksheet Object.

Click OK.
