Chapter 12. Working with E-Mail and Faxe... > Setting Default Formatting for E-Mai...

Setting Default Formatting for E-Mail Messages

If you're using Word to compose and send messages, you can set the default formatting for your e-mail messages in Word. You can use the E-Mail Options dialog box in Word to set default formatting and add e-mail signatures for your messages. When you set default formatting, you can add a theme and change font styles for new messages. If you need multiple signatures, you can add more than one. When you change settings in the E-Mail Options dialog box in Word, your changes are also set in Microsoft Office Outlook 2003.

Set the Default Format

Click the Tools menu, and then click Options.

Click the General tab.

Click E-Mail Options.

Click the Personal Stationery tab.

To add a theme, click Theme, select a theme, and then click OK.

Click Font to specify font styles for different types of messages.

Select the Mark My Comments With check box, and then enter a name, if necessary, to include a name with comments.

Select the Pick A New Color When Replying Or Forwarding check box to use a different color when replying or forwarding a message.

Click OK.

Click OK.
