Recording a Sound File

You can create a new sound file and insert the file directly into your Word document. Having a customized sound can be your voice introducing the document, or a sound theme that you want to have your reader play at a certain point in the document. Either way, with the right sound equipment, you can add an extra personalized touch to your document.

Record a Sound File

Click the Insert menu… and then click Object.

Click the Create New tab.

Select the type that best suits your audio requirements. To use Sound Recorder, click Wave Sound.

Click OK.

Record the sound using your sound program.

When you're done, stop the recording and then, if necessary, save it in accordance with the instructions for that program.

Close your sound program.

To play the sound, double-click the sound icon.
