Chapter 14. Using Outlook in a Browser > Creating Tasks in a Browser

Creating Tasks in a Browser

You can create a task just like you do in Outlook. To create a task, you click the New Task button on the Standard toolbar. A new Task window opens. Type the Subject, which is the text of the task. This text appears in the Subject column in the Tasks folder. You can also set a Due Date (the date by which the task must be completed), Start Date, the Priority (Low, Normal, or High), and you can check the Reminder check box to have a reminder window open the morning of the due date.

Create a Task

In your browser, click the Tasks button on the Navigation pane.

Type a short description of the task in the Subject box.

Specify a due date and a start date.

If appropriate, select the status, priority, and the percentage of the task completed.

If appropriate, specify the date and time of the reminder.

Click in the notes area at the bottom of the Task window and then type your notes.

Click the Save And Close button.

Click the check box to the left of the task when it has been completed.
