Chapter 6. Creating and Organizing a Lis... > Scheduling a Meeting with a Contact

Scheduling a Meeting with a Contact

A handy feature in Outlook is the ability to schedule meetings with several people at once. You start by selecting one or more contacts to invite to the meeting. You then open the Meeting dialog box and schedule the meeting. When the contacts receive and open your meeting request, the meeting appears on their calendars marked as tentative; they can then reply to let you know if they can attend.

Schedule a Meeting with a Contact

Click a contact to select it.

Click the Actions menu, and then click New Meeting Request To Contact.

TIMESAVER Right-click a contact, and then click New Meeting Request To Contact on the shortcut menu.

Type a subject for your meeting message.

Select or enter a location in the Location box and select a label from the Label list.

Set a starting and ending date and time for the meeting by clicking the list arrows.

TIMESAVER If the meeting will last all day, select the All Day Event check box.

Click the Send button on the Standard toolbar.
