Inserting AutoShapes

Are you ready to explore your artistic side and create works of art? Okay, maybe not, but at least you can create your own graphic shapes—such as boxes, circles, stars, arrows, or even smiley faces—and insert them into your documents.

You can access the shape tools in a couple of ways, but the easiest is to click the AutoShapes drop-down arrow on the Drawing toolbar. Word then displays a palette of choices (see Figure 11.18), which include line styles, basic shapes, block arrows, and callout styles.
