Finding and Replacing Text

Say you accidentally misspelled someone’s name in a long document. You could look through the document manually correcting each occurrence, hoping that you don’t miss one. Or you could search for all occurrences of that person’s name and replace them with the correct spelling.

The Find feature in Word can locate a snippet of text or a specific type of formatting in your document in just a few seconds. The Replace feature takes the process a step further by allowing you to substitute something else for the search item.
