Part II: Making it Look Nice > Working with Pages

Chapter 7. Working with Pages

In This Chapter

  • Changing to a different paper source when you need to print envelopes or on a different size of paper.

  • Including page numbers, headers, footers, and watermarks in your documents.

  • Setting up columns so you can format text into smaller, easy-to-read chunks.

  • Adding some punch with a plain or fancy border around a page.

  • Using Shrink to Fit to shrink or expand a document into a certain number of pages.

In Chapter 6, “Working with Paragraphs,” you learned how to format lines and paragraphs, which are pieces of a single page. This chapter deals with formatting that you apply to the entire page. I’ll introduce features such as headers and footers, page numbers, and borders that are applied to a whole page, not just a section of a page.
