Using Reveal Formatting

In response to thousands of requests for a feature like the “Reveal Codes” feature in WordPerfect, Microsoft has added the Reveal Formatting feature to Word 2003. The idea behind Reveal Formatting is to give you a peek under the hood of your document and show you how the text is formatted. This feature can be especially useful when you’re troubleshooting a problem.


But wait, there’s more! When the Reveal Formatting pane is displayed, you get one-click access to dialog boxes where you can make adjustments to the formatting. Using this feature is harder to explain than it is to “do,” so let’s display the Reveal Formatting pane and talk some more about what you can do with it.
