Formatting the Table

You’ve learned about features that help you create the layout, or structure, of a table. But you also want your text to look good, and that’s why it’s important to learn how to format the different elements of a table. Sure, you can format the entries in much the same way as you would format text in a document, but you can do specific things to format text in a table. I’ll start with the options that format an entire table and move on to formatting rows, columns, and cells.

Formatting the Entire Table

When you want to work with the entire table, you use the Table tab of the Table Properties dialog box to select a size and position for the table. You can also select how you want the text to wrap around your table.
