Checking Spelling as You Type

By default, Word checks your spelling as you type, automatically making corrections to typographical and spelling errors. This is usually a good thing, but there might be situations when you want to turn off this feature. You might also want Word to ignore spelling in a document that contains lots of words that Word doesn’t have in its dictionary.

Follow these steps to configure these two spelling options:
